Our Team
JH Architecture is a principal-led boutique architecture practice founded by James (Jian) Hu, AIA, providing direct senior-level involvement throughout design, documentation, permitting, and construction. We combine creative vision, technical expertise, and practical experience to deliver thoughtful, well-coordinated architectural solutions from concept through completion.

Founder & Principal Architect
With over 20 years of experience in architecture and interior design, James (Jian) Hu has led the design and delivery of projects ranging from large-scale mixed-use developments and high-rise towers to hospitality, commercial, adaptive reuse, and custom residential projects. Before founding JH Architecture, he contributed to the design and execution of complex projects at internationally recognized firms, including Gensler, SOM, Rockwell Group, and Stonehill Taylor.
As a licensed New York architect, James combines the expertise gained from leading global design practices with the personalized service of a boutique studio. He works closely with clients throughout every phase of the project—from visioning and planning to permitting, construction documentation, and construction administration—delivering thoughtful design, technical excellence, and practical solutions that bring each client's vision to life.
